Our Redeemer Lutheran Church would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of live streaming capabilities. On April 22, 2024, Meta/ Facebook removed permissions, features and abilities to publish a LIVE video. ORELC is working hard to find an alternative way to create Live Video. Adult Bible Class follows Divine Worship at 10:30AM in Martin Hall and is led by Pastor Stinnett or an Elder. It is a time for the adults to become more involved in Bible study, conveniently at the same time as children’s Sunday School.

It is so important for us to be studying God’s Word, and ABC is such a wonderful opportunity to do that with our brothers and sisters in Christ. The Social Board always has a pot of coffee ready and delicious treats to snack on. Come, grab a cup of coffee, and meet with your friends, or make new ones, as you Grow in Christ too!

The Ascension of Our Lord commemorates Jesus Christ's ascension to heaven. 

Ascension Day marks the end of the Easter season and occurs ten days before Pentecost.

Ascension Day falls on Thursday, May 9, 2024 and will be observed on Sunday, May 12 during Divine Worship. 

Looking for some fellowship and time in God's Word? A new Women's Bible Study is being formed and we welcome you! Bring a Bible and your coffee or tea and join us for the Saturday Women’s Bible Study group.

Perfect for those who have never done a Bible study before and/or those who don't have time to devote to a weekly study. This will be a time for fellowship and study with a relaxed pace using CPH's “God's Word for Today” study of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John. 

We meet on the first two Saturdays each month, March through May (March 2 & 9, April 6 & 13, May 4 & 11). Homework will be light — just read the Bible passages. Call the church office (232-7575) for more information, 

Notice of Possible Traffic Congestion.

On Sunday, May 19, there is a half marathon and 5K event at Deerfield Park, in Smithfield. This is near ORELC but Cedar Swamp and Tunmore Roads are not directly in these running loops. Both events begin around 8:00am, with the half marathon ending at 11:30am. Look for increased traffic in the vicinity of the church. The Board of Trustees is in need of your green thumb to take care of a flower bed on the church grounds. Fresh mulch is available near garage.

Altar flower memorials and thanksgivings are a lovely way to remember loved ones or mark a special occasion.

The 2024 chart is open to reserve your request of the two arrangements ($50).

2024 Graduation time is here! Please call or email the church secretary (232-7575, office@orelc.org) with names of family members graduating high school or college (undergraduate and graduate). Deadline for notice is May 31, 2024.

We will be listing everyone’s achievements and honors in June. 

The church office will be closed from Friday, May 10, 2024 - Tuesday, May 14 as the Office Administrator is on vacation.
