2025 National Youth Gathering YAV Application

Thank you for prayerfully considering serving at ENDURE, the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering, which will bring over 1,000 loving, energetic, flexible, and faithful volunteers to New Orleans, LA.

Volunteers are a highly valued and deeply needed element of the Gathering experience and its overall success. Whether you are an adult looking to serve for the full length of the Gathering (Ambassador), a young adult ready to serve in orange (Young Adult Volunteer), or someone flexibly able to serve for a day or two (Team Flex), the Gathering is thankful for your service.  

Young Adult Volunteers | Application Opens July 15

The application to serve as a YAV is set to open on July 15. YAVs serve as role models for youth participants while working in Gathering program areas. Areas of service include the Thematic Floor, Stadium Events, Sessions, Traffic/Safety, Servant Events, and more!

Eligibility

Be 19–25 years old at the time of the Gathering and at least one year out of high school.
Have a willingness to serve and a commitment to perform specific volunteer tasks.
Be able to attend mandatory training July 17 and 18, 2025.
Be available throughout the entire Gathering, July 19–23, 2025.
Be willing to complete a criminal background check.

LCMS YOUTH GATHERING

Held every 3 years since 1980, the LCMS Youth Gathering provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to be encouraged in their walk with Jesus Christ and learn about the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity.

The Gathering is more than the five days of the event. The preparation process for the Gathering brings together young people and supportive adults to encourage each other in their baptismal identity. The Gathering provides young people a vision for the vastness of Christ’s Church and equips them for vocational service as they continue their walk with Jesus.
