ARMED FORCES DAY - May 18, 2024

Armed Forces Day is celebrated in the United States on Saturday, May 18, 2024. It is a day to pay special tribute to the men and women of the Armed Forces.

Thank you to those currently serving our country! PENTECOST SUNDAY - MAY 19, 2024

This year, the Church celebrates the Day of Pentecost on May 19, marking the end of the season of Easter. The word “Pentecost” literally means “fifty,” as it falls fifty days after Easter Day. Red is an appropriate color for Pentecost Sunday. On this day we remember the power and fire of “the Lord and Giver of Life,” who revealed himself as the promised one.

Pastor Stinnett will minister the 9:15AM Divine Worship that includes the Rite of Confirmation for three candidates. A light reception organized by the Social Board will be held after this special service in Martin Hall. Please plan to join us.

Facebook Livestream should be available and the opportunity to park & pray in the lot while listening on 96.7FM radio station.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Notice of Possible Traffic Congestion.

On Sunday, May 19, there is a half marathon and 5K event at Deerfield Park, in Smithfield. This is near ORELC but Cedar Swamp and Tunmore Roads are not directly in these running loops. Both events begin around 8:00am, with the half marathon ending at 11:30am. Look for increased traffic in the vicinity of the church.
