Adult Bible Class

The Lord’s Prayer – Praying as Our Lord Taught Us.

Surveys show – and our own hearts confirm – that most Christians are not satisfied with their prayer life. Something similar could be said about the Lord’s Prayer. We treasure this prayer as a gift from Christ our Lord. But don’t we also find it easy to say the words of this prayer without grasping how each part of it applies to our personal lives and needs?

Continuing each Sunday up to Easter, we will be looking closely at this prayer the Lord has given us. As we consider more deeply what we’re praying, may we grow in our appreciation of what a great gift the Lord's Prayer is — and may our prayer lives be enriched!

Adult Bible Class

Our Sunday morning Adult Bible Class has concluded a study entitled, “God Connects”, which has guided us through the most important teachings of the Bible.

If you have been participating with us in this class -- either in person or remotely -- and would like to discuss questions you might have or would like to discuss becoming a member of Our Redeemer, then please contact the church office to schedule a visit with Pastor Stinnett, who will be more than glad to meet with you.  Thank you!

Arch Books — the videos!

Did you know that a group of people at Our Redeemer have been busy recording bible stories?

Please go to our YouTube channel and view them.  These stories are meant  to be shared with your children, grandchildren or any child in your life that can benefit from the word of God.

Many thanks to the volunteers who loving shared their time and talents as readers, videographers, and technical support.

Our Redeemer's video reading of The Arch Book Treasury features: The Baby Born in a Stable, The Boy Who Ran Away, The Rich Fool, Eight Bags of Gold, Little Benjamin and the First Christmas, The Great Surprise, Jon and the Little Lost Lamb, The Story of Noah's Ark and Donkey Daniel in Bethleham

Arch Books Available!

The Arch Book series tells popular Bible stories through fun-to-read rhymes and bright illustrations. This well-loved series captures the attention of children, telling the Bible stories in an enjoyable and memorable way.

A new set of Arch Books are available to families.  The Life of Jesus set is available at the Greeter’s booth.  The Book is a gift from the Sunday School and is another beautiful set of 12 classic Arch Books. This set was paid for by a Thrivent grant. Thanks Thrivent!

Women's Bible Study

Women's Bible Study will begin on Wednesday, March17 at 7pm with a book recommended by Pastor Stinnett, "Ready, Set, Change" by Darold A. Reiner.

Change! It affects us all!  In this insightful eight-session study, the author explores topics such as changes of location, expectations, lifestyle, and relationships in the context of our never-changing God and His Word.

Please contact Lay Deacon Sue Smith via deacon@orelc.org or call the church office 232-7575 to sign up for this virtual study.

Sunday School Lesson

Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, | all the earth!*
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with | singing!

Know that the Lord, | he is God!*
 It is he who made us, and we are his;
 we are his people, and the sheep of his | pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his | courts with praise!*
Give thanks to him; | bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures for- | ever,*
and his faithfulness to all gener- | ations.

Mrs. Droste, Christian Education Director challenges you to help others searching for Jesus, by putting a cross in your window! Mrs. Droste would love it if you would send her a photo of your cross in your window! Send it to:  office@orelc.org

"You'll Never Walk Alone"

The other day I stumbled across this wonderful video when I was reading the news. It seems this young man’s dreams and plans were upended by the Covid-19 pandemic. Now many of us have felt that way—what we have planned for this spring, summer and perhaps even the fall has been upended. We feel mad, we feel sad and yes we feel bad about what has happened in the world around us. read more
