Busy Bags

Missions & Service reminds you that we have “Busy Bags” in the narthex for our young church attendees!

Quiet fidgets, finger puppets and board books are all loaded into an easy carry canvas bag. For older children we have independent readers books, crayons, and sketch pads.

Look in the bin under the church mailboxes and please return neatly to the bin after service. Thank you. Jamie Droste, Missions & Service Chair

Nursery Care

If nursery care is needed during Service, please speak with one of our Greeters. They will alert our volunteers that nursery care is being requested. Thank you!

LCMS Disaster Response

“We love because he first loved us.” (1 John 4:19)  —  Helping the hurting amid disaster

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod’s Disaster Response ministry responds to immediate and long-term needs following natural and man-made disasters.

Working through LCMS districts and congregations as well as with international Lutheran churches and other partners, LCMS Disaster Response builds capacity of the church’s partners to respond to needs with Christian care.

The ministry reaches out to LCMS congregations and their communities with services that include on-site assessment, emergency relief and development grants, pastoral care for LCMS church workers and members, and other resources.

Stinnetts in Ethiopia

As many of you know, Pastor Aaron Stinnett’s brother, Rev. Eric Stinnett, teaches at Mekane Yesus Seminary in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The seminary is dedicated to training faithful Lutheran pastors and other church workers to serve in Ethiopia.

If you would like to support the Stinnetts financially, please make checks payable to “Our Redeemer” and put “Stinnetts” in the memo line.  Donations can be placed in the regular offering plate. Designate “Stinnetts” in your on-line Vanco one-time special donation.

Thanks in advance for your prayers and support. Find more information about Rev. Eric's mission, biography, and additional information:  https://www.lcms.org/stinnett

Bags of Hope 2025

Thank you to everyone who supported this project by giving of their time, talents, and treasures! On November 17th, we had a group of 12 volunteers help wrap and sort gift items for the 6,000 monogrammed duffle bags to be filled for children in local foster care. ORELC raised $1,810 with the sale of ornaments and we had $1,000 in Thrivent Funds that provided volunteers with pizza, cookies, and water and that purchased wrapping paper, tape, scissors, Sharpies, and more snacks for volunteers. God bless these foster children and the mission of Bags of Hope!
